What to look for

Do you have some gum disease symptoms?

You may not be aware that you have gum disease (also known as periodontal disease) as it is not always painful and some symptoms of gum disease are not obvious.

However, if you notice any of the following – red and swollen gums; bleeding gums after brushing or flossing; a strange taste in your mouth; receding gums; bad breath or loose teeth – then you could have gum disease.

If your gum disease is left untreated it can become more serious and your teeth can become painful and loose, possibly even falling out. In more advanced cases you might notice a bad taste in your mouth, bad breath and a discharge from between your teeth and gums.

If you notice any of these symptoms then come and see us as soon as possible.
